Citizens for Maryland Libraries (CML) works to build greater public awareness of the need for and services of our Maryland libraries. It is:
- a strong statewide network of individuals and organizations - people who value Maryland libraries; and
- the major voice of citizen advocates for library service and libraries across the state of Maryland.

Tell-A-Friend to Join CML campaign officially kicks off at the MLA conference (April 21-23, 2010)
From April 21, 2010 until October 15, 2010, current CML members are encouraged to recruit their family members and friends to join CML. As you do this, you will become eligible to win a prize if you recruit the most new members –1st prize – a Sony e-Reader; bookstore gifts cards will be 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Ten new members must be recruited to be eligible to win prizes. Winners will be announced at the CML Annual Membership meeting November 6th; you need not be present to win.
You may download the CML membership brochure and membership application to give or send to prospective members. Be sure to write your name on the "referred by" line to get credit for the referral. If you are unable to download the brochure and application, you may request that a few brochures and applications be sent to you. Fill out our Contact Us form; put Tell-A-Friend in the message, along with your request.
Mary Lou Dewey Advocacy Grant Awarded
Congratulations to the Friends of the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for their project to develop an interactive web portal.
